Hugo gets by just fine without reading, no matter what his parents say. His mom reads to him all the time anyway, and when she’s not around, he just looks at the pictures. Reading is too confusing, and besides, Hugo is too busy.

About The Author
Jodi Roelands is an entrepreneur and mother, who enjoys reading to her children. Getting them to read on their own however, now that’s a story!
This book was inspired by watching her children navigate the sometimes frustrating, often hilarious, and always worthwhile task of learning to read.
Jodi lives with her husband, and reads a lot of books to her five children, in Lambton Shores, Ontario, Canada.
